This is my ruffle lamp! the base is blue, the white foot on the bottom of it used to be gold as did the socket. (i'm not a huge fan of gold) I painted them white.
The lamp shade:
I bought a drum lamp shade from Ross for $5.99 ( it was zebra print) it was the cheapest I could find anywhere in a decently big size.
I got some old white fabric and cut squares about 2x2 and just hot glued them next to each other onto the lamp shade. the closer together you do them, the tighter the ruffles get, but i was limited on fabric so my ruffles are sort of loose.
I have been wanting one of these FOREVER! i'm so excited to finally have one (and actually be happy with it!)
